Sharing the Vision of Our Church

We are a new gathering of believers in Jesus Christ and our prayer is that all who come are renewed and blessed by our Lord.

Our vision for Gold River Calvary Chapel is to be a place where people of all ages, backgrounds, races and ethnicities will be drawn together as a spiritual family to hear the life-changing truth of Jesus Christ.

We invite you to come see for yourself.

Statement of Faith

We accept the Bible as our complete authority in matters of faith and practice

  • We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are verbally inspired by God and inerrant and infallible in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority.

  • We believe there is one living God who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10, Matthew 3:16-17, John 10:30, John 17:3, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Matthew 28:19, John 14:26)

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born to the Virgin Mary.

  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is completely God and became completely man.

  • We believe Jesus lived perfectly without sin while He was on earth and that He performed miracles, substituted Himself on our behalf, and that He was unjustly murdered because He claimed to be God. We believe Jesus was resurrected from the dead, defeating death and sin so we could have life. We believe that Jesus ascended to Heaven to the right hand of God, and in His present life there He is our High Priest and Advocate.

  • We believe Jesus is coming again to judge the living and the dead. (Matthew 27-28)

  • We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity.  We believe that He leads us in the way and the truth and the life of the believer.  We believe He convicts people of sin, righteousness and judgment, and that He regenerates people so that they would have eternal life.

  • We believe the Holy Spirit empowers the preaching and teaching of the Gospel.

  • We believe that all people were created in the image of God, but that sin came into the world through “one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned” (Romans 5:12) and therefore human beings are born with a sinful nature.

  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood.

  • We believe in the blessed hope of the personal, visible and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

  • We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again by the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God and heirs of eternal life.

  • We believe in the reality and existence of Satan, the devil, who works in the world to destroy the souls of men and that he and all his angels and all who do not receive Christ as their personal Savior will eternally perish in the lake of fire.

  • We believe in the Church, unified in Christ, whose mission it is to preach the Scriptures to all the world.

  • We believe that the ordinances of the Church; which are Baptism and Communion, are given to us by the Lord Jesus.
