We are hosting GriefShare weekly on Fridays, beginning January 26th, 2024 @10AM at Gold River Calvary Chapel, 11285 Pyrites Way, Suite B, Gold River, CA 95670. These sessions will be offered as IN-PERSON only. Childcare WILL NOT be provided.

If there is one person who fully understands the loss of a loved one and grieved, it is our Lord Jesus Christ. When He was told that His friend Lazarus died the Scripture simply says, “Jesus wept.” Yet, in that one statement, Jesus—though He is God incarnate—in His humanity, known as a man of sorrow, fully understands what it means and what it feels like to grieve when we lose our loved ones and the weight of our grief, pain, and the sense of loss which accompany us. Healing from your grief is not easy. It’s a long, sometimes painful process.

GriefShare is built around a 13-week video curriculum on a biblical, Christ-centered foundation which meet weekly to help you face the challenges of grief and move from mourning to joy. GriefShare is a ministry to help you on your journey toward healing and recovery as you process your grief of the death of your loved ones.

Who should come and who should not. GriefShare is specifically designed for people who have experienced the loss of a loved one or friend through death. Other losses, such as the loss of a job, the death of a pet, divorce, and similar major life events, while real and significant, are not the kind of grief discussed in GriefShare sessions, nor the focus of GriefShare. Our primary focus is on people grieving the death of a family member or friend.

GriefShare follows a 13-week course using video sessions of experts, followed by a discussion of each session’s topic, and reinforced by self-study using your own workbook (provided by our church) of Scriptural truths that help participants apply to their own lives the concepts they are learning. Every session will be led by a GriefShare facilitator.

• We are charging $20.00 for the GriefShare 13-week session which includes the workbook.

• GriefShare is open to all Young Adults through Seniors during the 13-week sessions. Each session is “self-contained,” so you do not have to attend in sequence. Therefore, you are welcome to begin attending the GriefShare group at any session.
• Our Winter Schedule begins Friday, January 26th, 2024 through Spring.
